, 13/04/2018 08:04

On March 27, 2018, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU – HCMC, collaborated with the Saigon Businessmen Club to host a seminar on “Promoting effective negotiation strategies to do business with Japanese enterprises”.

The seminar witnessed the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Fuyuko Takita from Hiroshima University (Japan), Mr. Phan Cong Chinh – Vice President of Saigon Businessmen Club, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cam Loan – Director of An Van Thanh Manufacture and Trading Co., Ltd., Mrs. Pham Linh Chi – Director of Kien Hung Handicraft Co., Ltd., Mrs. Le Thu Hien – Director of May No Hashi Co., Ltd., alongside over 50 entrepreneurs and managers from different organizations and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City.

The seminar created a chance for Vietnamese entrepreneurs to meet up and share their experience, marking the close connection and mutual growth for the community of businessmen in HCMC in particular, and for Vietnamese ones in general.

The seminar was aimed at helping individuals and businesses approach knowledge and experience in seeking opportunities in order to successfully negotiate with Japanese enterprises, promote trade connections, and establish long-term cooperative relationships with Japanese enterprises.

At the seminar, the participants had discussions about the principles of successful negotiations and specific solutions based on practical situations. As the biggest economy in Asia and second worldwide, Japan is now a market with great potential for Vietnamese businesses. So, a better understanding of the Japanese people’s principles and characteristics in doing business such as keeping promises and being reliable can help Vietnamese enterprises have successful cooperation with them.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam highly valued the practicality and usefulness of the participants’ ideas and experience. He hoped to form a long-term connection with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Fuyuko Takita so as to organize similar seminars and exchange programs in years to come.
