THE INAUGURATION OF CENTER FOR VIETNAM – HIROSHIMA

On November 16, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the inauguration of Center for Vietnam – Hiroshima at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen, President of HCM USSH, Mr. Furudate Seiki, representing the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of Japanese businesses, teachers and students of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen showed his high appreciation to the support of Hiroshima University and Consulate General of Japan in HCMC. Professor hoped that training human resources for Vietnam would be continue.
The delegates expressed their pride of the relationship between Vietnam and Hiroshima University. The cooperation between the two sides meant to support human resource training for Vietnam and for the Japanese enterprises in Vietnam.
Mr Furudate Seiki appreciated the collaborative research activities between University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City and Japan. Following these activities, the Centre for Vietnam – Hiroshima, University Social Sciences and Humanities will contribute to human resource training for Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. The Center will act as a bridge between Japan, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries in the future.
