TOURIST VIRTUAL EXCHANGE: BURAPHA UNIVERSITY AND HCMUSSH
, 04/05/2020 15:05In the morning of April 28th, 2020, 10 students of Burapha University and University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Ho Chi Minh City had a virtual exchange as part of TOURIST* Work Package 4 – Development.

05 students from the Faculty of Tourism, HCMUSSH and 04 students from Burapha University selected for project TOURIST’s Centers for Enhancing Professional Practice on Sustainable Tourism (TOURIST Center) had a virtual exchange on Google Meet. The students had a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with each other, share academic experience on tourism, and discuss their orientation of future career. The agenda for the exchange is as follows:

2. Introduction by Mr. Vorrapob Vivatvanit, representative of Burapha University.
3. Introduction by Mr. Nguyen Hong Truc, representative of HCMUSSH.

5. A quick overview of HCMUSSH by Mr. Truc.
6. Students from Burapha University and HCMUSSH take turn to exchange CVs, contact information and make small talks.
7. Closing remark by Mr. Vivatvanit and Mr. Nguyen.
Selected students from the Faculty of Tourism, HCMUSSH for project TOURIST
As per the framework for Year 3 of project TOURIST, these selected students from HCMUSSH will undergo a 14-day internship at the Burapha University to gain insight knowledge on methods of sustainable tourism development, administration of TOURIST Centers, and cross-regional networking.

As per Work Package 4 – Development, a selected group of 05 students from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand is expected to intern at HCMUSSH during the third quarter of 2020. The 04 students from Burapha University will intern at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ha Noi (VNUUSSH).
(*) Project TOURIST, full name “Competence Center for the Development of Sustainable Tourism and Innovative Financial Management Strategies to Increase the Positive Impact of Local Tourism in Thailand and Vietnam”, has been in operation for 3 years, from 2017 to 2020. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union, coordinated by FH Joanneum University (Austria). Members in Vietnam include University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ha Noi, Hue University and University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
