TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ANA AIRPORT SERVICES CO., LTD., JAPAN

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) collaborated with the ALUE, a corporation in human resource training in Japan, to organize a training program for employees of the ANA Airport Services Co., Ltd. (Japan). The program lasted from 10 to 14 October, 2016 with various interesting and practical activities.

After a week of studying and practicing skills relevant to research on the aviation market in Vietnam, the employees of the ANA Airport Services Co., Ltd. (ANAAS) had a chance to expand their understanding of the Vietnamese culture and society. They got some hands-on experience in order to improve their soft skills and aviation-related knowledge. Participants in this program were 9 staff members from different departments in the ANA Airport Services Co., Ltd., such as Customer Care, Personnel, Cargo, Reception, etc.

Those employees also had exchanges with students of the HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature and Faculty of International Relations) alongside Vietnamese businesspeople and employees from LG Vietnam, RMIT Vietnam, Saigon Pharma and Eva Airways in a welcoming, congenial atmosphere. Not only did they share their opinions and experience in their work, they explored the similarities and differences in culture and society between Vietnam and Japan as well.

The program also provided the ANAAS employees with an opportunity to learn experience and gain more knowledge from Vietnamese enterprises. They paid a visit to the Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company (VIAGS) and Park Hyatt Hotel, learning about different types of services as well as human resources there. The group was really impressed with hospitality, cordiality and professionalism of those Vietnamese companies. Representatives of VIAGS and Park Hyatt Hotel paid the Japanese group compliments for their being active, energetic and having an inquiring mind.

This training program is the first event for employees of the ANA Airport Services Co., Ltd. under the organization of ALUE Corporation and CVSEAS. The Center has carried out other similar programs for different Japanese groups and companies such as TEIJIN Corp., TOITA College, etc.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, highly valued the efficacy of the training program for ANAAS employees, saying that they are very diligent and enthusiastic. He hoped that similar programs would be launched in the future.
