V2WORK SEMINAR: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN DA NANG-ENHANCING EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP NETWORK FOR UNIVERSITIES IN VIETNAM

From 30 June to 3 July 2020, the International Seminar on sustainable development of V2WORK project was organized by the project management team at the University of Technology and Education-The University of Danang. The seminar aimed at exchanging solutions to continue developing the activities of V2WORK sustainably after the project is completed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the seminar was held online with the participation of both regional and international representatives. Joining in the webinar were delegations from the University of Alicante (Spain), FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria), the University of Coimbra (Portugal), Thu Dau Mot University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Tra Vinh University, Tay Nguyen University, Nha Trang University, University of Technology and Education - University of Danang, Industrial University of Vinh, Hanoi University of Science & Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and AIESEC Vietnam.
Assoc. Prof Dr Phan Cao Tho - President of UTE-DNU delivered the opening remarks.
During the webinar, the participants discussed solutions to continue the activities of V2WORK after the project is completed. The good news of the meeting was the approval of all representatives to continue their support for the “Vietnam Entrepreneurship Employment Support Network” (VEES-Net). Universities who are founders of the network also agreed on the network descriptions including its name, missions, view, objectives, structural organization, operational principles and activities. The member universities reached an agreement on preparing materials to get permission from the board of founders. The network is expected to be launched in late October, 2020 in Hanoi.
