Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung put an emphasis on the inconsistent connections between research institutes and businesses in technology transfer. The role of intermediary organizations whose functions are promoting and evaluating technology has not yet reflected the supply-demand relationship and their consultancy has been still ineffective. Leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology emphasized the role of universities in pioneer research and wished to promote further mutual cooperation among Schools, Institutes, Ministry and Departments of Science and Technology.
