FOUNDATION OF JAPANESE CHESS CLUB

Under the above motto, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies cooperates with Nhat Tinh Viet Joint Stock Company to found a Japanese Chess Club. The Club officially opened on the afternoon of March 3, 2009.
Japanese chess is an intellectual sport beloved by a lot of Japanese. Playing Japanese chess becomes a profession in Japan. The chess moves sometimes hide human personalities as well as education. Therefore, contacting Japanese chess means contacting the beauty in Japanese culture.
The club welcomes those who love Japanese chess. Besides playing chess, the club members can learn and exchange Japanese and understand Japanese culture. The club activities take place at room B01 (USSH, HCMC, 10-12 Dinh Tien Hoang, District 1, HCMC) on Friday afternoons from 13:30 to 15:00.
