GLOBAL CRISIS AND ENERGY POLITICS
, 15/07/2009 17:07In the context of economic crisis taking place all over the world, the talk on “Global Crisis and Energy Politics” was considered an interesting topic which drew attention and participation of about 100 students from Faculty of International Relations (FIR), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City.
The talk held by Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) in collaboration with FIR took place at Room D501. The Austrian speaker, Dr. Karin Kneissl mentioned the issue of crisis threatening the economics of each region in the world. Besides the issue of crisis, there exist the questions of using energy effectively, especially the matter of using oil today.
This was the first visit of Dr. Karin to Vietnam. After University of Economics – Ho Chi Minh City, USSH was her second venue to deliver her speech. Questions and feedbacks from FIR students were highly appreciated as sharp and clever ones. Dr. Karin said, this was a prosperous sign of high-quality human resource of Vietnam in the coming years.
