INVESTMENT AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN LAOS
, 04/01/2009 19:01On November 28 2008, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized the seminar on “Investment and business opportunities in Laos” on the ocassion of 33th National Day of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos.
Atttending the seminar were entrepreuners in and around Ho Chi Minh City, lecturers and graduate students in Asian Studies of USSH. In the seminar, honored guest cum speaker, H.E Thetlakhone Douangsonthi – Consul General of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh – Expert in Lao Studies mentioned the status of economy, culture and society in Laos, important notes of Foreign Investment Law as well as investment opportunities and challenges to Vietnamese entrepreneurs.
The seminar brought Vietnamese entrepreneurs ocassions to invest in potential Lao market. The participants raised their questions as well as discussed the procedure of business license and cultural conduct of foreign business in Laos with the speakers.
Similar seminars are to be organized by CVSEAS in the near future in order to make a bridge for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in meeting, exchanging and seeking investment opportunities in Southeast Asia region.
