JAPAN LAWYERS ASSOCIATION FOR FREEDOM VISITED CVSEAS
, 15/07/2009 13:07On the morning of April 6, 2009, Japan Lawyers Association for Freedom (JLAF) paid a visit to CVSEAS. Meeting the delegation are Ass. Prof. Dr. Võ Văn Sen (Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNH-HCMC) and Dr. Trần Đình Lâm (Director of CVSEAS).
JLAF was founded in 1921. Its early principle was protecting the interests of Japanese farmers. During the second world war, its operation was interrupted. After the war, as working again, the association enlarged its role: protecting the interests of Japanese labors.

Ass. Prof. Võ Văn Sen stated that for over half a centertury, Japan has gained the wonders of economic development and now is an economically powerful country in the world. Japan should take part in more helping countries with education, training human resources for Southeast Asian region.
People's diplomats have played the important roles for peace and commonwealth for Southeast Asian countries. It is hoped that, in the time to come, Vietnam will be supported by more people's organizations such as Nam Hoc in funding teaching Japanese and helping with training human resources for USSH for the past fifteen years.
The Rector hoped that Japan would donate more to increase the quotas for Vietnamese students to study overseas in Japan. Ass. Prof. Võ Văn Sen and Dr. Trần Đình Lâm desired that Japan with its financial strength would gave more financial stimulus packages to help Southeast Asian countries quickly escape the current financial crisis.

Through JLAF, the researchers showed their gratitude to the movement of Japanese people against Vietnam War as well as supporting the Vietnamese people for their cause in construction and economic development now. The operations of Japanese people's organizations have made great contribution to the sustainability and development of Southeast Asian countries.
JLAF frankly thanked the researchers and promised to propose those ideas to the Japanese government in order to make considerable contribution to the future appropriate policies.
