MEETING WITH CENTER FOR SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES (CSAS) - DONGGUK UNIVERSITY

On January 13, 2009 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) had a meeting with delegation of Center for South Asian Studies (Dongguk University– Republic of Korea). Attending the meeting were Prof. Kim Yei Chang, Director of CSAS and Prof. Chun Byung Gil, Faculty of Tourism Administration, Dongguk University and Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS.
In the meeting, the two parties discussed training and research cooperation programs between the two universities as well as signing on memorandum of research cooperation between CVSEAS and CSAS. The delegation of CSAS expressed their profound knowledge of Vietnam economy in the modern time as well as their concern about the balance of economic growth and protection of ecological environment and national culture.

CSAS also requested the help of CVSEAS for database and general statistics of socioeconomic issues of Vietnam in order to support research cooperation projects in the near future.
