MEETING WITH CONSUL GENERAL OF MALAYSIA IN HCMC

On July 28th, 2009, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies met and worked with Mr Khairi Bin Omar, Consul General of Malaysia in HoChiMinh city.
Discussing with CVSEAS, Mr Consul General expressed his wish to enhance the cooperation and fasten the friendship between Vietnam and Malaysia as well as Southeast Asian countries. He also paid special attention to training and developing the human resources in which the role of education at university is very important. The human resources of high quality is the leading objective at which many countries in the world aim and the youth is the source of that potentiality. In his opinion, the youth is the bridge to enlarge the cooperation and development among countries. He also expected more exchanges at universities between Vietnam and Malaysia in order to understand more cultures between the two countries. Besides, the Consul General wanted to introduce the country and people of Malaysia to the students of University of Social Sciences and Humanities in his coming talk.
