MEETING WITH DR. GEORGE D. MEIER
, 25/11/2010 20:11On November 23, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the meeting with Dr. George D. Meier, a lecturer in Faculty of International Business and Project Management of University of California, Irvine, USA. Meeting with Dr. George D. Meier were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen, President of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Master Bang Anh Tuan, Head of Department of International Cooperation and Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
The United States is a country whose branch of Business Administration and Project Management is leading one in the world. Through training of this branch, the U.S. has leaders guiding their enterprises to do business successfully in the country and expanding the company\'s operations out of countries in the world successfully.
Upon assessing the enterprises in Vietnam, Dr. George D. Meier said that despite the certain success, major defects of the Vietnam enterprises has not organized business reaching the outside world.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen was delighted to meet Dr. George D. Meier and the two sides exchanged their views on cooperation in training and education in the future. University of California will help train human resources in business administration, marketing and business leadership roles (Leadership).
According to the agreement of both parties, cooperation and training programs will be implemented in 2011.
