MEETING WITH MR. S. SAKAKIBARA – REPRESENTATIVE OF SUMITOMO FOUNDATION (SF)
, 27/11/2008 16:11On September 26 2008, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) hosted a meeting between Mr. S. Sakakibara – Representative of SF and units of University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH)
Attending the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Tinh – Vice Rector of USSH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Van Chung – Director of Center for Religion Studies, Dr. Nguyen Tien Luc – Director of Center for Japanese Studies, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of CVSEAS and representatives of Office of International Cooperation.
The meeting focused on research fund of the SF. Mr. S. Sakakibara who has just taken his new term of office mentioned the figures of research projects sponsored by SF. There were 5 among 17 projects in Vietnam were successfully financed. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Tinh expressed his thanks to SF and promised to encourage units of the USSH to submit prospective applications to SF.
