PROF. TRƯƠNG QUANG TALKS ABOUT GLOBAL INTEGRATION, COMPETITIVENESS AND HUMAN RESOURCES IN VIETNAM

CVSEAS met with Prof. Dr. Trương Quang (Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands) when he gave an interesting talk on the topic "Global integration, competitiveness and human resources in Vietnam" to many lecturers, researchers and students of Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities on the morning of May 21, 2009.

Having lived and worked for over thirty-five years overseas, Prof. Trương Quang has collected a lot of valuable experiences in training human resources for the development in the countries all over the world. After analyzing the situation in Vietnam in recent years, especially in the stage when Vietnam joined WTO, he introduced a strategic development model for our country. According to Prof. Trương Quang, first of all the government has to plan a long-term development strategy to meet the needs of human resources in every field; based on this strategy, education and training has to implement a long-term plan to train the professional human resources for every field. On the basis of the synchronous coordination among the government, the professionals and the education and training institutions, we will be able to achieve three things: modern, practical and professional.

After the professor’s presentation, several teachers and students put a lot of questions excitedly and frankly. Honestly, professor answered each question thoughtfully. Everybody felt satisfactory and the talk made the audience think a lot about the human resources of the country in the future.
