SEMINAR

, 03/04/2009 09:04

On March 4, 2009, CVSEAS held a seminar "Under the world's financial crisis - What now for Vietnam?" that was presented by Mr. Hori Koichi, President of administration council of Dream Incubator stock company. The financial crisis has taken place simultaneously in the world countries. Vietnam has been facing the never-seen decrease of economic development. How to overcome this situation in order to develop sustainably?

Mr Hori Koichi, a leading strategic consultant of Japan first emphasized the training of human resources, not spending the profit of the enterprises and other surpluses on investment in real estate and stocks. In business, the capital and equipment are important, but the human resources are the most significant.

In his opinion, Vietnam should try to master the advancing technology of production. To carry out this, Vietnam should promote their cooperation with foreign countries. The imitation, however optimal it is, will never be the best. Although Vietnam can not be the first tomorrow, it is necessary for Vietnam to improve the body of technology researchers, for example, sending students to study overseas that is certainly feasible.

Vietnamese enterprises should focus on main trading. The successful international companies all concentrate on one field at which they are excellent like the saying "  ". The enterprises should distinguish themselves by their preeminent products. First of all, be the first of Vietnam, then, advance toward being the first of the world.

Concerning about the real estate, he reminded the enterprises of paying attention to serving the majority of the labourers. They should build the houses at reasonable prices that the labourers can afford, not the ones reserved for the rich. The society should serve the majority. This is the fundamental motto for sustainable social development.

The government should issue the policy on rearing and supporting the export and upholding the internal force. The money sent from overseas to Vietnam and the foreign investment may not continue for ever. If there is a balance in commerce, Vietnam can obtain sustainable development.

More than 60 representatives from enterprises, economic agencies, , the students from the faculty of Oriental Studies and media agencies participated in the seminar, sharing and exchanging their ideas excitedly to find the right way in the current context of the world's financial crisis. The seminar was broadcast on HTV9 channel.
