TALK BY PROF. GIORGIO DOMINESE AT UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES (USSH)
, 13/11/2008 09:11On October 30th, 2008, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies in collaboration with Department of Italian Linguistics and Literature held a talk on the topic of economics and international relations.
The talk on “Southeast Asia as a major regional opportunity for Europe – Asia relations: policies, partnership and perspectives” was presented by Prof. Giorgio Dominese from University of Rome Tor Vergata.


The talk drew attendance of teachers and Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese students studying at USSH. Ho Chi Minh City was his second destination after Hanoi, and this was the third talk on his trip to Vietnam. With the two previous topics “The new theories of growth and need for an innovative international governance and “Europe as a global player in international governance” which were held in College of Economics – Hanoi National University and Institute of European Studies, students of the two schools perceived valuable knowledge and understandings from Prof. Dominese, which brought them a deep and broad view on relationship between Vietnam and countries in the area as well as all over the world.

In his talk, Prof. Dominese emphasized the potential and perspective for the development of Vietnam in comparison with regional countries. This was a good occasion for students of USSH to perceive valuable knowledge from Professor with a faith in a brightigher future for Vietnam as a country rich in potential human resources with the fond for learning and diligence along with creativeness in working.
