WORKING SESSION WITH PROF. SCOTT FREY FROM DEAN OF FACULTY OF SOCIOLOGY, TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERITY
, 13/07/2009 22:07On May 15, 2008, during the visit and working session in USSH, Tennessee State University (Tennessee, USA) had a working session with Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
Speaking at the session, Prof. Scott Frey concentrated his attentions to the conditions of Vietnamese Tertiary Education as well as the issues concerning his Sociological branch.
With a wealth of experience of doing research and teaching at University of Shanghai, Prof. Scott Frey mentioned the Chinese process of industrialization, considered as a lesson for Vietnam to consult in order to avoid facing with similar problems of destroying the natural environment.
Prof. Scott Frey also expressed his hope to establish with USSH a cooperating research program on the issue of healthy and strong industrial development together with environmental conservation in Vietnam.
