A LECTURE BY CVSEAS AT NATIONAL CHENGCHI UNIVERSITY IN TAIWAN

On December 18th, 2009, National Chengchi University invited Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, to give a lecture to the students of World Economy and International Economic Relation from many countries in the world.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam shared the development of Vietnamese economy in the context of the stage of innovation. Economic reforms in Vietnam has helped the equitization in many companies come into being, making great contribution to the development of the Vietnamese economy.

The students, especially from Russia and Czechslovakia, ardently participated in the discussion with the participants in the lecture. They showed their interest in the economic innovation in Vietnam. However, they also raised the question how to reduce the risks of equitization in the companies and prevent the loss of the government property in this process. The student-researchers took part in the scientific discussion enthusiastically.

Chengchi University is evaluated the one with high quality, dynamic in offering a lot of scholarships to foreign students-researchers. The students have been able to both study theories and participate in the practical discussions and debates with the scholars from many countries in the world.
