MEETING WITH PROF.DR. JUAN LLPOIS - VICE PRESIDENT AND DR. ESTER BOLDRINI, Deputy Head of the Office of International Project Management, UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE, SPAIN
, 20/12/2016 14:12On the morning of October 7, 2016, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH), Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), and Mr. Bang Anh Tuan (M.A.), Head of the Office of International Cooperation, welcomed Prof. Juan Llopis, Vice President of the University of Alicante (Spain), and Dr. Ester Boldrini, Deputy Head of the Office of International Project Management of the same university.

Upon the occasion, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam expressed his appreciation to the University of Alicante (Spain) for offering an opportunity for CVSEAS as well as HCMC USSH to participate in scientific and academic projects which are aimed at boosting mutual development. CVSEAS has currently been in collaboration with the University of Alicante to implement the ENHANCE project (strEngthening National researcH And iNnovation Capacities in viEtnam) within the area of Ho Chi Minh City and the REACT project (strengthening climate change REsearch And innovation CapaciTies in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam), which are expected to have great influences on the development of scientific research at training and educational institutions in Vietnam, helping connect scientific studies with their practical application in society.
HCMC USSH hopes to cooperate with the University of Alicante in scientific research, training and education so as to enhance the quality of post-graduate students, lecturers and students at the University as well as in the whole Vietnam’s education system in general. Assistance in specialized areas of the University of Alicante should be very useful to educational projects in Vietnam, especially during the period of international integration.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam wishes the relationship between HCMC USSH and the University of Alicante will sustainably progress, contributing to building a reciprocal relationship between Vietnam and Spain in training and educational activities.
