BOOK DONATION FOR THU DAU MOT UNIVERSITY AND TRA VINH UNIVERSITY
, 19/06/2018 09:06On June 1st and 13th, in a visit to Tra Vinh University and Thu Dau Mot University respectively, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies - had a meeting with the two schools’ professors and staffs as he donated books to the libraries of these schools.
The visit is part of the project “Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship skills” or V2WORK.

Tra Vinh University was formed regarding the Decision No. 141/QĐ/2006-TTg dated on June 19th, 2006 by the Prime Minister and became one of many public universities in Vietnam university education system. There are 12 departments and 3 boards, 3 councils, 11 centers and other units. Tra Vinh University welcomes all applicants throughout the country with 18 postgraduate programs, 39 undergraduate programs and 26 college-level programs. Besides, Tra Vinh University also conducted around 100 researchs at every level ranging from all fields, some of which have contributed to improve the local economy.

Thu Dau Mot University was founded on June 24th, 2009, following the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 900/QĐ/TTg. The size of the school is 15,000 academic students and 600 postgraduate students who learn and research in 28 undergraduate programs and 9 postgraduate programs, in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Natural sciences, Social sciences, Pegodagy. Currently, the school is deploying some domestic scientific researches as well as international ones.
The book donation is to strengthen the relations between universities, facilitating the execution of the V2WORK project.
