THE VIETNAM EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUPPORT NETWORK SIGNING CEREMONY IN HANOI

On October 29th and 30th, 2020 in Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University had attended the signing ceremony VEES-NET within the framework of the project V2WORK. The representatives of HCM USSH were Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh – Vice Chancellor, Dr. Tran Le Hoa Tranh - Director of the Center for Career Orientation and Human Resource Development (Career Center), Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies. This is the network of cooperation from 8 universities around Vietnam with the aim of helping post-graduate students looking for a job. The network is conducted with the support of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and AIESEC Vietnam.
 
The signing ceremony also had a participation of Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nha Trang University, Tay Nguyen University, Tra Vinh University, Thu Dau Mot University, Industrial University of Vinh, University of Technology and Education – the University of Da Nang, VCCI and AIESEC. The project V2WORK is funded by Erasmus+ Program (European Union).
 
In the ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Linh – Director General of Political Education and Student Affairs Department, Ministry of Education and Training showed his appreciation to the project V2WORK and the dedication of professors, scientists, and experts to many universities in Vietnam. He hoped that this project can be spread out to more and more universities in Vietnam. This is a great chance for the student to affirm themselves, upgrade their soft skills and broaden the career path after graduation.

Mr. Bui Tien Dung – an expert in Political Education and Student Affairs Department, showed his agreement with the practical terms of the project which meet the requirement of the Ministry of Education and Training. He believed that this event will foster the entrepreneurship program of many universities in Vietnam.
 
Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh was elected to be the Vice president of the VEES-NET for the first term of 2020 – 2023. He appreciated the close-knit cooperation between many companies and universities in Vietnam joining hands to create a fresh motivation. This activity not only supports human resources training but also fosters the inner development of the economy and society.

There are 03 universities in the EU taking part in the project: University of Alicante (Spain), University of Coimbra (Portugal), FH – Joanneum (Austria). Through video clips, these European members of the project remarked their pleasure at cooperation with Vietnamese members this time. Hopefully, in the near future, the project will achieve greater success. Also, all the delegates expressed their commitment to support the upcoming activities. They believed with the support in both qualification and experience fields, they can help to form the Career Center in Vietnam becoming a dispensable part of any universities.
