REPORT ON THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG JAPAN, CHINA AND SOUTH KOREA FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY ECO-AGRICULTURE STUDYThe Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies just held a report titled “The relationship among Japan, China and South Korea from the perspective of interdisciplinary eco-agriculture study”. It was presented by Prof. Ikemoto Yukio, who is from the University of Tokyo, at the HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities on the morning of October 27.
INDIAN PROFESSOR ROMILA THAPAR GIVES A TALK AT USSHOn the recommendation of the Consulate General of India, professor of history Romila Thapar (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) delivered a lecture on “Changing themes in the interpretation of early Indian history”, which was organized by the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) on the afternoon of February 20, 2013.
A SEMINAR WITH STUDENTS FROM WASEDA UNIVERSITY, JAPAN IN 2013Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a presentation to students from Waseda University, Japan on the occasion of their visit to the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) on the morning of March 01, 2013.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies met with CEO of HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. Sumit Dutta on March 12, on the occasion of welcoming the East Bengal football team from India to Ho Chi Minh City.
A PUBLIC LECTURE ON “JAPAN’S INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS”Dr. Tran Dinh Lam took part in the public lecture “Japan’s International Relations” held by the Japan Foundation Center for cultural Exchange in Vietnam, in cooperation with the HCMC Universities of Social Science & Humanities (USSH) on March 22.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam was a guest to take part in discussions about “The lectures on contemporary Korea” funded by the Korea Foundation at the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) on May 24, 2013.
JAPANESE PROFESSOR MIDORI MIYAZAKI HAD A TALK ABOUT MEDIA CHANGES THE WORLDDr. Tran Dinh Lam recently attended the seminar “Media changes the world” by Prof. Midori Miyazaki, Chiba University of Commerce, Japan on November 13, 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City.
“VIETNAM SHOULD LOOK FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL LAWYERS TO ADDRESS THE EAST SEA ISSUE”: PROF. TRAN VAN DOANOn the occasion of his return to Vietnam to attend a conference on the East Sea issue on the morning of June 23, Prof. Tran Van Doan had a meeting with the President of HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and then, with Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, to have more discussions about this issue.
On July 22th, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a talk on “Vietnamese Economic Reform” at USSH with an attendance of 40 students from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies held a seminar at the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities on June 26 with the participation of two guest speakers, Prof.Dr. Bui Tung from the University of Hawaii (the U.S.) and Dr. Truong Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the National Financial Supervisory Commission.
