On December 20, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, had a meeting with Prof. Hyowon Lee from the Seoul National University Foundation, Korea.

On December 16, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, met up with Dr. Claudia Linditsch from the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria).

On December 13, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a talk to students from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore within an annual cooperative program between the University and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH).

On the evening of December 09, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended the reception to celebrate the 83rd birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Akihito and Japan’s National Foundation Day held by the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 16, 2016 Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, attended the international conference “Vietnam – Thai land: Building a sustainable strategic partnership in the era of global integration and regional connection” at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH).

On the morning of October 7, 2016, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH), Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), and Mr. Bang Anh Tuan (M.A.), Head of the Office of International Cooperation, welcomed Prof. Juan Llopis, Vice President of the University of Alicante (Spain), and Dr. Ester Boldrini, Deputy Head of the Office of International Project Management of the same university.

On December 12, 2016, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, welcomed Dr. Yung-Lung Lee, President, and Prof. Dr. Huang Po-Ho, Deputy President of the Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), Taiwan together with Prof. Tran Van Doan from the National Taiwan University.

On the morning of November 30, 2016, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, had a meeting with representatives of the Kookmin University, Korea.

On November 29, 2016, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH), had a talk to 16 students from the Mara University of Technology, Malaysia, about economic innovations in Vietnam during the period of 1986-2016. Also present at the seminar were Dr. Zuraidah Binti Zaaba – Coordinator of the undergraduate program of the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (Mara University of Technology, Sabah Campus) and Nguyen The Trung, M.A. – Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic and National Policy Studies, HCMC USSH.

On November 14 – 15, 2016, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, attended the 2016 Conference on the development of the science and technology market held in HCM City.
