THE 87TH CELEBRATION OF THAI NATIONAL DAYDr. Tran Dinh Lam went to the celebration of the 87th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand and the country’s National Day (December 09, 2014), which took place in HCMC on December 03.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam participated in a conference on Vietnam’s critical issues held at the University of Oregon (the U.S.) on November 6-7, 2014.

MEETING WITH WOOT POTHIPATAMA, VICE CHAIRMAN OF THAI BUSINESS ASSOCIATION IN VIETNAMOn November 26, 2014, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam welcomed Mr. Woot Pothipatama, who serves as the Region Manager of Kantana Group Public Co., Ltd. as well as the Vice Chairman of Thai Business Association (TBA) in Vietnam.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended an international conference ending the HEIP-LINK Project, which is funded by EU, at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow (Poland) on October 26-27, 2014.
Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a seminar on “Vietnam’s economic reform” with over 40 students fromSingapore on November 28, 2014 at the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
On November 13th, 2014, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a presentation at the New York University (the U.S.) with the theme “Economy of Vietnamese ethnic minorities: A case study of the Bahnar people”.
MEETING WITH PROFESSOR JOHN CHEN, UNIVERSITY OF INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIAOn his business trip to Europe, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a meeting with Prof. John Ren CHEN, University of Innsbruck (the Republic of Austria), who has conducted a lot of studies on macro-economic development, globalization and poverty reduction.
ATTENDING THE OPENING CEREMONY OF JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL 2014At 17:45, November 13, 2014, members of the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies had come to attend the Opening Ceremony for the Japanese Film Festival with the theme “A new wind is coming back- Japanese films and cartoons 2014”.
