Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, together with Prof. Ishida (Japan) and Prof. Aung Min (Myanmar) paid a visit to the SCT Gas Co., Ltd., at the Phu My Industrial Park, Ba Ria on the morning of October 18th, 2014.

This October 16. Prof. Trần Đình Lâm together with Prof. Phương accompanied Mr. Ishida from Japan to visit and conduct a survey in 2 Thais Companies operating in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of October 17th 2014, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam and Dr. Ishida Masami  from Institute for Developing Economies studies, Thailand together with Dr. Augn Min from Institute for Developing strategy studies, Myanmar had a visit to Vina Kraft Paper Company Limited (SCG paper) in  My Phuoc III Industrial Park, Ben Cat, Binh Duong.

On the morning of October 31st 2014, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended the exhibition “Beautiful handicrafts of Tohoku, Japan” at the Exhibition Hall and gave flowers to congratulate them.

This exhibition was organized by Consulate General of Japan in HCMC and The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam. Mr.Nakajima, a representative of Consulate General of Japan in HCMC delivered a opening speech and thanks all visitors for attending the exhibition.

On the evening of October 02, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam participated in the 4,346th ceremony of the National Foundation Day of South Korea (October 03, 2333 BC – October 03, 2014) held by the Consulate General of South Korea in HCMC.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), in coordination with the Waseda University (Japan), held a seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights in Developing Countries” at the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities on September 26, 2014 with the participation of professors from Japan, the US, etc. together with domestic scholars, experts, lawyers and businesses.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) collaborated with the Northern Illinois University’s library to hold a training workshop on manuscript preservation within 3 days (5 – 7 August) at the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC USSH).
