, 07/01/2010 14:01On June 30, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the workshop " Dissemination of free trade agreements (FTAs) Vietnam has participated in " held by the Department for Multilateral Trade Policy - Ministry Industry and Commerce, and Project Support Multilateral Trade EU - Vietnam MUTRAP III by European Union funding - Vietnam Ministry of Trade and Industry in coordination.
The workshop aims to introducing the Agreement establishing a free trade area of ASEAN - Australia, New Zealand and India to facilitate business opportunities for Vietnam to reach and integrate internationally comprehensively, shorten distances with the ASEAN countries and expand ties with other countries in the world.
On this occasion, the workshop creates opportunities for Vietnam businesses to exchange and talk to the experts of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to create relationships bound together in the way of economic development of Vietnam in the future. It can said that this is a startup network of two-way communication between the economic activities with professionals in charge of the proliferation of free trade agreements (FTAs) Vietnam has participated in.
The experts also emphasized the training of human resources for businesses. To integrate into the world the human resources of businesses need to have soft skills compatible with the international environment.
In discussions many enterprises raised a number of issues related to the rapid settlement of administrative procedures. To meet this require there should be deep expertise on legal documents, tariff, tax mechanisms, and customs procedures.
Through this workshop the experts can answer many questions that entrepreneurs are not aware of free trade agreements (FTAs) Vietnam has participated in.
