The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) – HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) cooperated with the HCM City Union of Business Association (HUBA) and the Leadership and Management Science Research Institute (Leadman SRI) to organize a seminar “How to maintain customers and market share in the difficult period nowadays” on the morning of January 07, 2013 at Phu Nhuan Plaza with the participation of Prof. Michael Lavin from Truman College, Chicago, USA as the main speaker.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies has just met Prof. Yasuhiro Yamada, Director of Bangkok Research Center - JETRO, together with Prof. Sebastian Swann from Morgan State University and Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung, Director of Minh Tran Company.

On the occasion of his seminar at the University of Tokyo on December 05, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam came to Nagoya to meet Prof. Anabuki Makoto, who has a close relationship with Vietnam.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a talk on “Renovation Policy in Vietnam” to teachers and officials from the Ministry of Unification of Korea and 117 Korean students at the Conference Hall of New Pacific Hotel, HCMC on December 21.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, in coordination with Waseda University, Japan, organized a conference on “Intellectual Property Rights in Developing Countries” on December 12 with the participation of professors from Japan, Italy, Germany, the U.S, etc. and some domestic experts, lawyers and businesses.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just attended a reception in celebration of 79th birthday of His Majesty Emperor Akihito held by the Consulate General of Japan in HCM City at Legend Hotel on December 11.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just presented a report on “Relationship between politics and economic renovation in Vietnam” to a class of postgraduates at the Department of Political Science, Seoul National University, South Korea on December 03.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies just attended a reception on the occasion of 85th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej held by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Thailand in HCM City on the evening of December 03, 2012.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just attended a report titled “Vietnam’s Renovation” together with guests from the Ministry of Unification of South Korea at the conference hall of Star City hotel, HCM City, on November 20.
