At 15 o’clock on 23/2/2010 at Minh Tam Garden, a seminar "The Dream of Vietnam" was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Tri Dung. The seminar took place with the participation of more than 30 lecturers from the Institute of Social Sciences, the Center of Trade Promotion, Science and Technology Department, professors from universities, research institutes, representatives from high-tech zone, the Center for Standards and Quality 3 and Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
A VISIT TO CVSEAS BY RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF COMPARATIVE HISTORY AND CULTURE AND FAR EAST UNIVERSITY (SOUTH KOREA)On February 23, 2009, after working with the Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hồ Chí Minh City, Prof. Edward J. Baker, Research Institute of Comparative History and Culture (Hanyang University, South Korea), and Prof. Kee IL Lyu, Rector of Far East University (South Korea), paid a visit to Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies in order to look for the chances of research cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.
TRAINING ACADEMY DIRECTOR OF KENT INSTITUTE - SYDNEY VISITED VIETNAMOn 15/12/2010, Mr James Lee-Training Academy Director of Kent Institute-Sydney paid a visit to Vietnam. He visited the University of Social Sciences & Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City and met with the students studying Diploma Program linked between University of Social Sciences & Humanities and Kent Institute -Sydney (Australia).
WORKSHOP: STRENGTH OF HUMAN RESOURCESOn February 25, 2011, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies - Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a Seminar on the topic: Strength of Human Resources.
ATTENDING THE SEMINAR From 17/01 to 27/01/2011, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the seminar "Sociology of Development" held in Hanoi Agricultural University. The seminar was sponsored by the EU Council with the speech participation of Prof. F. Nahavandi (University of Belgium), PhD. Tran Dinh Lam - Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies and MA Nguyen Thi Dien. The students were from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
ATTENDING THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA DAYOn January 27, 2011, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a banquet on the occasion of the 62nd Republic of India Day organized by the Indian Consulate General of Ho Chi Minh City.
VISITING INDIAN COUNCIL OF WORLD AFFAIRSIn the morning of December 21, 2010, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies visited Indian Council of World Affairs, in the heart of New Delhi, India. Sir Vijay Sakhuja, Director for research, received the delegation.
VISITING JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY (JNU) - INDIAOn December 19, 2010, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, together with Japanese professors and the University of Pennsylvania, USA, came to work with graduate students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), one of the most famous schools in New Delhi, India in the field of social science.
On November 26, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City held a talk on economic issues in Vietnam with the participation of postgraduate students from the University of Tokyo, Japan, Prof. Ikemoto, Prof. Takahashi and lecturers of economics at universities in Ho Chi Minh City: Dr. Ho Ngoc Phuong, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Dr. Nguyen Tan Phat, University of Economics and Law, and Assoc. Dr. Thanh Phan, Dr.Tran Dinh Lam, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
On November 28, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies participated in the annual Terry Fox Run organized by the Consulate General of Canada at the Cresent Area, Phú Mỹ Hưng, District 7, Hồ Chí Minh City.
