40TH ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM – JAPAN DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just attended the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations, the introduction of a traditional wine of Japan named sake and the kicking off the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Year which took place at Legend Hotel, HCMC on February 27, 2013.

INAUGURATION OF NEW PREMISES OF ÉCOLE FRANÇAISE D'EXTRÊME-ORIENT (EFEO) IN HCMC

Assoc. Prof. Thanh Phan, Deputy Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, attended an inauguration ceremony of the new premises of Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the French Development Agency, and the École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), the French School of Asian Studies, at 113 Hai Ba Trung, District 1, HCMC at 19:00 on February 25, 2013.

52ND ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE DAY OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just attended the 52nd Independence Day and 22nd Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait on February 25 in HCMC.

VISITING UNIVERSITY OF THE FREE STATE, SOUTH AFRICA Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a meeting with Dr. Glen James Taylor – Director of the Innovation and Business Development Team, University of the Free State on the occasion of his visit to South Africa from 14-16 January to attend a conference in the frame of the project “Promoting the international dimension of research in HEIs” held by the University of Alicante (Spain) and the University of the Free State (South Africa).

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, just attended the 64th anniversary of the Republic Day of India (26/1/1950 - 26/1/2013) held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam - India Friendship Association in HCM City on January 24, 2013.

AGAINST FAKES WITH FRESH VEGETABLES

Through the relationship with his partners, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities) often organizes workshops with the participation of international scientists and some enterprises in HCM City as well as in several surrounding provinces, where participants can share experiences in doing business to help overcome difficulties.

CONFERENCE “VIETNAM – KOREA COOPERATION”

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just participated in the conference “Vietnam – Korea Cooperation: Business Administration and Industrial Service”, which was organized by the HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), in coordination with PuKyong National University – Korea, at USSH on January 23, 2013.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just took part in a conference in the frame of the project “Promoting the international dimension of research in HEIs” organized by the University of Free State in coordination with the University of Alicante from 14-17 January, 2013.

ATTENDING HIGH TEA WITH VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA, MR. MOHAMMAD HAMID ANSARI

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a high tea on the occasion of the Vice President of India – His Excellency Mohammad Hamid Ansari and his wife, together with delegates of Indian government paying a visit to Vietnam. The reception was held at Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel, HCM City at 14h30 on January 17.
