Morning April 23rd, Professor Chung Sok Suh, Director of Institute of Korean Study in New South Wales University (UNSW), Australia and Prof. Soon Don Choi, Vice President of Yeungnam University, Korea paid a visit to University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH).

On December 1st, 2009, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies and The Japan Foundation in Vietnam held a lecture by Prof. MOMOKI Shiro, Osaka General University, Japan. A lot of domestic and foreign scholars, researchers and students participated in the lecture.

On January 27, 2011 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a reception to celebrate the 62nd Republic Day of India held by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 19, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies with Japanese  professors and University of Pennsylvania, USA worked with doctoral fellows at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), one of the most famous universities in New Delhi, India in the field of social sciences.

On November 24, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies held a workshop on: The senior leadership in enterprises in Japan, United States, Germany and relation to Vietnam, presented by Professor Yoshiaki Takahashi (Chuo University, Japan), with the participation of a large class of students in Business Administration Diploma of Kent Program and many other relevant subjects.

On February 16, 2011, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies conducted the review and granted the graduate certificate of basic communicative Thai course (taking place from 11/10/2010 until 28/01/2011) to the students of College of Foreign Economic Relations – HCM city.

On December 15, 2010, a group of professors from PKNU, Korea, visited Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies. The group consists of Prof. Huh Yong Hoon, Dean, Prof. Lee Jung Hee and Prof. Chung Yeon Ho.

On December 9th, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies took part in the reception to celebrate the Birthday of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor Akihito held by Consul-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the meeting were Consul-General of Japan, Hida Harumitsu, and many leaders in HCMC.

On February 14, 2011, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the exchange with the students of Waseda University, Japan, held by Department of International Cooperation – University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the exchange were the students from Waseda University led by professor Suboi and numerous students in Department of Japanese studies, HCM USSH.

On February 28, 2011, the Center for Japanese and Southeast Asian Research participated in the Seminar “Instructions on researching and writing” by the Japan International Exchange Foundation in collaboration with Japanese Studies Department - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University HCM organized.
