On November 18, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the meeting with University Jigyo, Japan, led by Prof. Masato Yukawa, President, Prof. Kenichi UDA, and Prof. Mamoru Egawa, head of admissions office. Meeting the delegation was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen, President and MSc. Bang Anh Tuan, Head of International Cooperation, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of November 3, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, opened a training class in combination with the Kent Institute, Sydney, Australia.

On October 22nd, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the celebration of two years’ operation and the fourth certificate-granting of Sejong Center for Korean language in Centre of Korea, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the ceremony were Dr. Vo Van Sen, the President of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Chon Ho Jong, Rector of Chosun Rector, Mr. Kim Sang Yoan Korean Consulate General in Ho. City, Mr. Do Huu Tuyet, Deputy Director, Office of the Ministry of Education and Training in the City, Mr. Kang Choong Sik, Association chairman of Korean businesses in city HCMC (KOCHAM), Mr. Sin Nam Sik, Director of Korea Trade Association (KOTRA), Mr Hwang Eui-Hun, Chairman of Korean Association and the teachers and students of Sejong Center for Korean language in Center of Korea, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On September 1, 2010, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, visited Asia University in Taichung, Taiwan. Dr. Lam Dr. was met by Dr. Yu-Tung Liu, Vice Rector, Dr. Ying-Huei Chen, Deputy Dean of International College, Dr. Han.CW Hsiao, director of the Center for International Academic Exchange, and members of the University.

During the meeting between Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Prof. Lim Thiong Tray, director of Center for Southeast Asian Studies, National University Chinan, Taiwan, the two sides shared understanding of the two centers for development and service.

On June 18, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a workshop: “Solutions to enhancing Vietnamese farmers' mental life” held in Hall T78, at 145 Ly Chinh Thang.

On October 11, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies jointly organized a Thai class at College of Foreign Economic Relations of Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the opening ceremony were MSc. Nguyen Viet Tuan, Vice Rector, MSc. Tran Van Tho, Dean of the School of Business Administration.

On November 5th, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the Diwali Festival at the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Sir Abhay Thakur, Consul General of India, presided over the ceremony with the participation of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, Television Station in Ho Chi Minh City and many honorable guests.

From Sep. 10 – 21, 2010 Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Political Science Department (University of Innsbruck, Austria) organized Vietnam Summerschool Program 2010.

On October 1st, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies took part in the Reception held by Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh city on the occasion of the ROK National Foundation Day.
