A PROGRAM OF SURVEY RESEARCH ON EPITAPHS IN NINH THUAN PROVINCEOn the morning of May 13, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies held a preliminary report on the program of the survey research on epitaphs in Ninh Thuan Province.
From May 21 to 24 Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies attended the workshop held by School of Global Enviromental Studies, Kyoto University. The participants of the workshop included: Universities of Champasack, Democratic People's Republic of Laos, University of Khon Khaen, Thailand, the Royal University of Cambodia; Agricultural University of Hue, Da Nang University, Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies, etc.
On May 18, 2010, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the workshop at the Institute for Poverty Alleviation and International Development (IPAID), Yonsei University, Korea with professors and postgraduate students from India, America, Urganda, Etiopia.
On the morning of May 17, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the workshop at the Institute for Research on Public Issues, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Kung Hee with professors and postgraduate students of China, Ucraina, South Korea, etc.
At the seminar with 60 Students of the Faculty of Insdustry at Waseda University on May 19th, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies presented the innovation process of Vietnamese economy and the progress of the equitization of state enterprises.
On the morning of June 7, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies and Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a talk by Dr. Yeo Lay Hwee, Director of the European Union Center, Singapore. Attending the talk were Master Tran Cao Boi Ngoc, Vice-head of Department of International Cooperation, Master Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Vice-dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies and Dr Tran Dinh Lam, director of CVSEAS.
MEDIA RELATIONS AND CORPORATE IMAGESOn the morning of June 4, 2010, Center of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies in combination with Company for Training and Human Resource Development Netspace organized a workshop on the topic: "Media relations and corporate images" presented by Huynh Son Phuoc - Former deputy editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
This morning (April 22, 2010) at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, the Center for Vietnamese and South East Asian Studies organized an extremely successful conference. There were over forty in attendance from different companies and guests of honor such as Ms. Vũ Kim Hạnh, director of Business Studies and Assistance Center. Mr. Robert McGuire, a freelance writer, has extensive experience working with Ivy League universities such as Yale and different non-profits on creation and implementation of cost effective marketing strategies through less traditional avenues such as employee empowerment, email newsletters, blogs, and focusing on influencers rather than customers to name a few.
REPUBLIC OF AUSTRIA TO SUPPORT VIETNAM IN HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING, ESPECIALLY OCCUPATIONAL ONEOn April 29, 2010, on the occasion of Dr. Katherine McHugh Lichliter, deputy director of the International Salzburg Global Seminar visited Vietnam, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Georg Heindl and Mrs. Neline Heindl-Koornneef organized a meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria, Hanoi. Attending the meeting were Department of Information Science and National Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Institute of European Studies, Institute of Economics and World Politics at the Institute of Social Sciences of Vietnam and Faculty of Interrnational Relation of Ha Noi National University. The members attended the seminar in Salzburg, including Ambassador Sean Doyle, head of EU delegation in Vietnam, Ms Kontanze Mantsch, First Secretary of the Embassy of Austria, and Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
THE 16TH ORATORY CONTEST ON JAPANESE IN HO CHI MINH CITY IN 2010On the morning of May 9th, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies participated in the 16th Oratory Contest on Japanese in Ho Chi Minh city in 2010. It was supported by the General Consulate of Japan in HCMC and The Japan Foundation.
