On February 11th, 2009 the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies met and worked with  Mr Miyazaki - a Japanese businessman - at the Consulate General of Laos to discuss the offer of scholarships to Laotian and Vietnamese students.

On October 1st, 2009, CVSEAS attended the 4341th anniversary of  Korean National Day hosted by General Consulate of Korea in HCMC.

On Thursday the 17th, 2009 there was a gathering at the Palace Hotel of the 2009-2010 Fulbright Scholars and Students organized by the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC).

On September 29th, 2009, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the exchange with Hyogo University of Teacher Education, a leading Japanese university specializing in educational studies, led by professor Miyazaki Hideki. The exchange program was held at Minh Tam company whose director is Dr Nguyen Tri Dung.

The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) in collaboration with The University of Innsbruck (UIBK) (Austria) hosted a program named Asian Studies Program, Vietnam 2009 which lasted from September 11 to September 22, 2009.

From 22 to 24 of September 2009, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) met and worked with Atsushi Okada – a postgraduate of Tokyo, University Japan in the scheduled research program on "contract farming".

Center of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies met with the rector of Aichi Shukutoku university.

This university, founded in 1905, lasted over 100 years in history. Aichi Shukutoku school has had many programs and been bound to Center of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies for a long time.    

On the afternoon of September 14th, 2009, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) held the opening ceremony of a Thai class in Vinakraft Company, Ltd., SCG Group of Kingdom of Thailand.

On the evening of September 15th, 2009, the opening ceremony of Laotian class took place in the exciting and cheerful atmosphere at room B010, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, HoChiMinh city.

On August 20, 2009, Mr Miyazawa - Japanese Director of Koushin company visited IT Japanese class held by Center of Vietnamese Southeast Asian Studies. Mr Miyaza talked and explained some queries to the learners.
