Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) recently organized a seminar in Thu Dau Mot University to report the implementation process of the project “Competence centres for the development of sustainable tourism and innovative financial management strategies to increase the positive impact of local tourism in Thailand and Vietnam” (TOURIST), which is funded by the Erasmus+, European Commission”
From 27th March to 9th April, five students from the faculty of Tourism, USSH VNUHCM carried out an internship for tourism training at Center of Sustainable Tourism, Faculty of Tourism, USSH VNUHN. The activity is a part of Package No.4 of TOURIST project, aiming to enhance capability of Competence Centers as well as connecting Vietnamese and Thai students involved in the project.
As part of the 4th work package of the TOURIST project, five students of Consulting Center for Sustainable Development, Faculty of Tourism Studies, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ha Noi) participated in an exchange program in Ho Chi Minh City. The program lasted 14 days from 20th March to 2nd April, with the purpose of studying the tourism market in the South, exchanging experience in practicing consulting services and strengthening the close relationship among TOURIST’s network members.
On the afternoon of March 31st, 2021, dissemination activities of Project TOURIST were carried out in the Auditorium 1 of Nha Trang University. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), University of Social Sciences and Humanities Ho Chi Minh City, introduced the Project to an audience of more than 150 students of the Faculty of Tourism. In attendance also were members of the Faculty, Ms. Dang Thi Phuoc Toan (M.A.) and Mr. Nguyen Khanh Van (M.A.).
The “Competence centres for the development of sustainable tourism and innovative financial management strategies to increase the positive impact of local tourism in Thailand and Vietnam” is funded by the Erasmus+, European Commission with the collaboration of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies as HCMUSSH’s representative.
With the hope to provide useful knowledge related to the recruitment and job opportunities following the spirit of the V2WORK Project, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized the service class "Positioning Personal Brands and Writing Successful CVs”, presented by Ms. Dang Thi Chau Ngoc - Southern Branch Manager at TopCV.
On March, 19th 2021, the executive committee of V2WORK Project held a meeting with the enterprise leaders to discuss the VEES-Net strategy development plan of the V2WORK project. The meeting also provided an occasion for the enterprises and the executive committee to discuss the job market in the context of the post-COVID-19 pandemic.
In the evening of March 17th, 2021, the Steering Committee of project TOURIST* at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City joined the virtual TOURIST’s Post-Project Evaluation Meeting. The occasion marked the end of TOURIST after more than 03 years of spreading knowledge of sustainable tourism in Vietnam and Thailand.
From 30 June to 3 July 2020, the International Seminar on sustainable development of V2WORK project was organized by the project management team at the University of Technology and Education-The University of Danang. The seminar aimed at exchanging solutions to continue developing the activities of V2WORK sustainably after the project is completed.
