
On October 26-27th 2021, the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Virtual Fair was jointly organized online by Erasmus+ National Offices and European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The Virtual Fair displayed the results achieved by 2015-2020 funded projects of universities around the world. With the aim to inspire and shape the next generation of CBHE projects, the Virtual Fair had the participation of academics, university managers, students, and national policymakers.

From September 28th, 2021, Center for Rural Development - Saemaul Undong, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM in collaboration with Central New Rural Coordination Office and Association of Francophone Universities (AUF) implemented the training course of One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2021.

On September 30th, 2021, the launching ceremony of the Talent Search Competition in the field of FINTECH 2021 was organized via Zoom app meeting with the participation of representatives from government agencies, enterprises, lecturers, and students. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, also attended the meeting.

On October 1st, 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Thailand and Mekong Institute (MI) hosted an online forum titled “From Cooperation to Strategic Partnership: A Decade of Shared Development for People, Prosperity and Peace” via Zoom meeting app. The forum had the participation of speakers, researchers, officials representing government agencies, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, think tanks, universities, non-government organizations, media, and business chambers and associations. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, also attended the event.



In the midst of the pandemic, Vietnamese ethnic group is still a topic that receives lots of attention from scholars all over the world. The online meeting on Cham ethnic group, hosted by Prof Ikemoto Yukio and Photographer Aoki Yukiko (University of Tokyo) was held on June 27th, with the participation of Dr Tran Dinh Lam (Director of CVSEAS), Assoc. Prof. Thanh Phan and Ms Nguyen Thuy, lecturer of Van Lang University. Prof Ikemoto also collaborated with USSH before in the study on Interdisciplinary Study on Poverty based on Capability Approach.

On 27 and 28 May, the 2021 International Conference - “Breakthroughs of Area Studies and ASEAN in the era of homo untact” and “Strengthening Future-Oriented Korea-Mekong Strategic Partnership'' was hosted by Korea Institute of ASEAN Studies - BUFS in Seoul. The conference streamed on Zoom welcomed participation of researchers and delegations from universities in Korea as well as other international higher education institutes.

In the morning of May 26th, 2021, the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies attended the virtual seminar "How ASEAN countries cooperate to fight the COVID-19" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Hanoi and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (Federal Republic of Germany). The seminar enjoyed the participation of many domestic and international researchers and administrators as well as attracting a large number of viewers in Vietnam.

On April 27th, 2021, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended the national scientific conference on "Reshaping the global financial system and Vietnam's strategy" at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. The conference is co-organized by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper.
